The picture to the right feature the letters across Manhattan Hill. There is a nature trail just to the side of the hill that leads down past these big white "Hollywood style" block letters which are there thanks to K-State.

The scenic overlook from on top of Manhattan Hill is a "must see" for K-State students. The overlook is especially ideal during the sunrise or in the evening right at sunset when the city of Manhattan starts to light up as dusk approaches.
Manhattan Hill
A good area to relax after a dinner at Harry’s, the Manhattan Hill is located on the east side of town along Scenic Drive. The hill is considered a city landmark and is easily identifiable by the large “Manhattan” letters built into the ground with white stone.
From the hilltop, visitors are treated to a panoramic view of the city, including as far as the Kansas State University campus. Tables and benches are available to enjoy the view either at night or day.
